Our Deanery Festival was held at Marshfield on a very wet Wednesday afternoon 17th May. Most of us arrived by coach so we did not get too wet.

Rosemary Thomas (above L.) attended accompanied by Janet Duggan and they each read a lesson themed to Canon Brendan Clover's sermon. He talked about "The Good Life" and how we do not need nor should we give importance to a lot of material things but rather, appreciate the natural world and our relationships with one another.

Our new MU Chaplain (designate) Reverend Simon Drew, Vicar of Marshfield, took the service.

Afterwards we had some tea and excellent cakes served by the local branch.

Following plenty of friendly chatter we ventured into the rain again.
