We now have two branches! Please read on......................
The Deanery now has two
branches, the re-opened St. Anne's, Brislington and Christ Church, Hengrove.
I would like to thank Barbara Britton for becoming St. Anne's Branch Leader
and Ruth Williams for being Branch Leader at Christ Church. Both services
were different and I thank all those members who came to support them and
each service was a joyous occasion. The Deanery Festival was held at St.
Luke's, Brislington, and the theme was "The Year of the Family". Revd.
Hilary Thomas welcomed everyone and Hazel Roden, Branch Leader led the
service with members taking part, Canon Brendon Clover preached on 'Happy
Families', during the service everyone in Church lit a candle for their
family. Afterwards all the Banners were lined up outside spreading down the
Church path, the tea afterwards was excellent. Branches have been busy with
their "Count your Blessings"raising money for the Family Picnic.
The Deanery Carol Service is on December 2nd
at St. Paul's, Bedminster, (instead of Holy Nativity, as they are having
repairs to the Church). The service is at 12 noon, followed by a bring and
share lunch, we may also have the Road Show. |
