Family Celebration Fun Day

What it's all about.

                                                          Sunday 31st May 2009

The Trustees of Bristol Diocese Mothers’ Union would like to invite you and your family to a Family Celebration Fun Day to be held on Sunday 31st May 2009 at Marshfield, Nr Chippenham, Wiltshire (just off Junction 18 M4).  The event is being held to celebrate National Family Week and is also supporting Health4Life.

The day will commence at 12.00 noon with a lively celebration service, which will be led by Bishop Lee Rayfield, Suffragan Bishop of Swindon.      Everyone to bring a pack lunch.  The day will then continue until tea at 4.15 p.m. with entertainment and activities for every age including bands & choirs, historical tours of the village, music and flowers in the Church, exhibitions, bouncy castles and activities for children together with inter-deanery sporting challenges to be held over six different venues in the village.

The Mothers’ Union is a Christian family based organisation that does make a great contribution to family life worldwide especially helping families in this country that have met with adversity.

All Parishes are invited to take part with or without Mothers’ Union Branches.  For inter-deanery events there is to be one team per activity per Deanery.  We are offering coach transport for your Deanery if required.     The cost for the day is £3 including all activities, drinks from lunch time and afternoon tea.

Please apply to Deanery Contacts for tickets by 10th May (including free tickets for accompanied children & students) to enable us to manage the catering.  Cheques made payable to Mothers’ Union plus a SAE for the return of the tickets.  A garden chair and sun hat / umbrella would be useful !  The list of Deanery contacts to sort any problems and answer queries including Deanery transport are listed on the attached page.

Looking forward to a very happy Diocesan Day
